"Across the Universe" is a song originally by The Beatles that was covered by Evanescence on their 2018 Synthesis tour in tribute to Amy Lee's late brother, Robbie Lee, who passed away in January that year. A studio version was recorded in late 2019 in the same session of "The Chain" with the Nashville Music Scoring Orchestra, and was released on the bonus CD A Live Session From Rock Falcon Studio from the band's fifth studio album, The Bitter Truth.

The song was released as a stand-alone single on December 17, 2021.
