MAKING OF BORREGO. Jesse Harris started writing BORREGO in 2016. The inspiration for the film came from a true story from Jesse’s dad, an amateur botanist. Lucy Hale read the script and came on board in 2018, eventually joining as an Executive Producer for the first time in her career to help get the project off the ground.
