Eftychios Vlahakis (Greek: Ευτύχιος Βλαχάκης; January 14, 1935 – April 6, 2014), known as Van Vlahakis, was an American entrepreneur of Greek origin, regarded as a pioneer of environmentally friendly cleaning products.

He died at age 79 after suffering a heart-attack, leaving behind his rich legacy of generosity, compassion, and dedication to protecting our precious planet.
This passion for clean chemistry began with our founder, Van Vlahakis. After immigrating from Greece to Chicago in 1953, he went on to work in the cleaning products industry where he noticed first-hand the harmful effects that toxic chemicals have on our health and our planet.
