Harry Hays Morgan Jr. (April 25, 1898 – July 8, 1983) was an American diplomat, society figure and actor. He is most notable as the brother of Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt and uncle of Gloria Vanderbilt.
Thelma Furness, Viscountess Furness ( née Morgan, 23 August 1904 – 29 January 1970), was a mistress of King Edward VIII while he was Prince of Wales. She was supplanted in his affections by Wallis Simpson, for whose sake Edward abdicated, becoming the Duke of Windsor.
Morgan had two other children -- Harry Hays Morgan Jr., who is in the diplomatic service, and Mrs. Benjamin Thaw Jr. of Pittsburgh, who was formerly Consuelo, the Countess de Maupas of France. WAS TRAINED BY TUTORS.
