A native of Oahu, Dezmond Gilla has always had a passion for movies. He grew up an only child in a neighborhood with a mostly geriatric population. He escaped into movies, like the Goonies, memorizing dialogue, playing out different scenarios in his head, and creating new characters.

His first feature script (How to Spell Revenge), that he also produced and starred in was a personal milestone that gave him valuable insight.
Jul 7, 2020 · As The Lost Treasure’s villain, Dezmond Gilla manages to be convincingly evil without being so sinister that he’ll give the little ones nightmares, even when he’s plotting the heroes’ deaths. The supporting cast is solid, if underused.
