Apr 2, 2013 · A Red Deer filmmaker is a rising star in the movie business. On the weekend, Lori Ravensborg will be honoured for The Long Road at the Canada International Film Festival in Vancouver.
Lori graduated from Theatre Studies at Red Deer College and also from the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre (New York City) where Sanford Meisner developed and taught the Meisner Technique. Since graduating, Lori has worked in theatre, film and television in New York, Vancouver, Toronto, Edmonton and Calgary.

Lori has been integrating Meisner Technique into the Acting for Film and Television program at Niagara College School of Media (since fall 2016) and supporting the graduating students in their final courses and film projects before emerging into industry- she continues to audition for occasional film and television projects when time permits.
