Joshua Mapleston is an Australian writer, comic, and actor. Early life. Mapleston grew up in Brisbane, Queensland. He completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Film Production at the Queensland University of Technology . Career. In 2017, he won an Emmy award for 'Outstanding Writing in Children's Animation' for his work on Beat Bugs. [1] .
Josh is a co-creator, script producer and writer on the new young adult series 'Surviving Summer'. The series is being produced by Werner Films for ZDF and Netflix. He is also developing his own Sci-Fi series.
