Louis Burton Lindley Jr. (June 29, 1919 – December 8, 1983), better known by his stage name Slim Pickens, was an American actor and rodeo performer. [1] Starting off in the rodeo, Pickens took up acting, and appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows.
Slim Pickens was a cowboy actor who starred in many westerns and comedies, such as Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb. He also wrote and did stunts for some TV shows and movies, and died of a brain tumor in 1983.
