John C. "Chris" Broyles is an American meteorologist who is a weather forecaster and tornado forecasting expert with the Storm Prediction Center.
Jan 1, 1970 · I like to show kids a supercell model I made that is six feet long, four feet high, and produces a tornado using rotating air and dry ice steam. At each NWS office, I work on projects that fuel my passion for severe storms. By the time I worked at Amarillo, I informally practiced creating severe weather outlooks.
Chris Broyles is a meso/outlook forecaster at the NOAA Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma. He is an expert in tornado outbreak forecasting and has created several forecasting resources and publications.

Nov 9, 2021 · Chris Broyles (et al) created the “Violent Tornado Page” for referencing meteorological data going back nearly a century for the most extreme tornadic events. Meanwhile, researching youtube or wikipedia for tornado information can be difficult for rare or older events.
