My name is Stakiah Washington, and I am honored to be graduating from Southern Methodist University with my BFA. I plan to thrive as a director, playwright, and actor, in both theatre, and film. I will continue to use my artistry to be an activist in the community.
Stakiah Lynn Washington is an actor, playwright, and director from Flint, Michigan. As a child, she fell in love with the arts and performed in plays at church, sang in the choir, and played musical instruments. In 2017, Washington was a finalist in the August Wilson Monologue Competition.
