Yuliya Aleksandrovna Gushchina (Russian: Ю́лия Александровна Гу́щина, born 4 March 1983 in Novocherkassk, Rostov Oblast) is a Russian sprinter who specializes in the 200 metres. On 30 November 2017 her results from the 2012 Summer Olympics were disqualified as a result of a positive doping test.
Yuliya Gushchina is an all-around sprinter, who has won international fame at all three sprint distances. She first rose to prominence at the 2005 World Championships, placing sixth in the 200. At the 2006 European Championships Gushchina won gold in the 4×100, silver in the 200, and was fifth in the 100.

Nov 26, 2019 · The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has confirmed bans for Russian athletes Yuliya Gushchina and Anna Nazarova following retests of their samples from the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Yuliya Gushchina is a Russian sprinter who won four Olympic medals in 2008 and 2012, but was disqualified for doping in 2012. She also competed in the 100, 200 and 400 metres at World and European Championships.

From the start Yulia Gushchina of Russia – in lane 5 – went out hard making up the stagger on Christine Day of Jamaica in lane 6. Outside them in lane 7, for the Americans DeeDee Trotter was out conservatively slowly making up ground on Phara Anacharsis of France to her immediate outside.
