Danno O'Mahony (9 September 1912 – 3 November 1950) was an Irish professional wrestler who enjoyed a brief but meteoric rise to massive popularity in the mid-1930s following a successful introduction to the Boston regional wrestling scene.
Danno O’Mahony was born on 29 September 1912 to Daniel and Susan O’Mahony at the family farm in Dreenlomane, Ballydehob, Co. Cork. He had six brothers and one sister. The parish priest was astonished when baptising Danno, saying that he was the strongest child he’d ever seen.

Danno O'Mahony (29 September 1912 – 2 November 1950) was an Irish professional wrestler. His surname was usually spelled "O'Mahoney" during his wrestling career. His signature move was the Irish Whip, which acquired its name due to its association with O'Mahony.
O'Mahony, Daniel (‘Danno Mahony’) (1912–50), world all-in wrestling champion, was born 27 September 1912 in Dereenloman, near Ballydehob, Co. Cork, third son among six sons and a daughter of Daniel O'Mahony and Susan O'Mahony (née O'Driscoll) of Dereenloman.
Danno O'Mahoney made his American debut on January 4, 1935, toppling Ernie Dusek in Boston. Boasting O'Mahoney's credibility, he received some supportive words from two well-known wrestling figures, according to the November 4, 1935 edition of the St. Louis Globe-Democrat.
