James Paul "Jimbo" Covert (born March 22, 1960) is an American former football offensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons with the Chicago Bears. He played college football for the Pittsburgh Panthers , earning consensus All-American honors.
Jimbo Covert was a first-round draft pick and a starting left tackle for the Chicago Bears from 1983 to 1990. He helped the Bears win six division titles and one Super Bowl, and was a two-time Pro Bowler and a consensus All-Pro.
