George Gervin ( / ˈɡɜːrvɪn / GHUR-vin; born April 27, 1952), [1] nicknamed " the Iceman ", is an American former professional basketball player who played in both the American Basketball Association (ABA) and National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Virginia Squires, San Antonio Spurs, and Chicago Bulls.
George Gervin was a Hall of Fame shooting guard and small forward who played 14 years in the NBA and ABA. He won four scoring titles, two All-Star MVP awards, and was a member of the ABA All-Time Team and the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.
