Laos, officially the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR), is the only landlocked country and one of the two Marxist-Leninist states in Southeast Asia. At the heart of the Indochinese Peninsula, Laos is bordered by Myanmar and China to the northwest, Vietnam to the east, Cambodia to the southeast, and Thailand to the west and southwest.
The film follows Lao An, a 90-year old ballroom dancing fanatic who falls for his younger partner Xiao Wei, despite being married. The post-screening talk features the director Yang Lina, who will share her insights on dancing with video and the challenges of filmmaking in China.
