Nav Canada (styled as NAV CANADA) is a privately run, non-profit corporation that owns and operates Canada's civil air navigation system (ANS). It was established by statute in accordance with the Civil Air Navigation Services Commercialization Act (ANS Act).
NAV CANADA manages the 18 million square kilometres of Canadian civil airspace and the North Atlantic oceanic airspace under Canada’s control. It provides air traffic services, aeronautical information, air navigation technology and innovation, and safety as its shared purpose.
NAV CANADA’s Aviation Weather Web Site (AWWS) has been decommissioned, effective February 28, 2024. All features and information that were previously found on AWWS can now be accessed through Collaborative Flight Planning Services (CFPS) and the new Flight Planning page.
