BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine) is a multi-disciplinary search engine to scholarly internet resources, created by Bielefeld University Library in Bielefeld, Germany. It is based on free and open-source software such as Apache Solr and VuFind.
BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine) harvests metadata of academic web resources (mainly repositories and journals) via OAI-PMH. It is based on the open source search engine software Lucene/SOLR.
BASE is a search engine covering all academic disciplines. It is maintained by the University of Bielefeld and is free to use. Aside from journal articles and conference proceedings, BASE can also be used to search for books, course materials, datasets and software.
