History. New York University School of Law was founded in 1835, making it the oldest law school in New York City. [5] . It is also the oldest surviving law school in New York State and one of the oldest in the United States.
The JD Program. The curriculum at NYU School of Law is designed to offer students the best possible foundation in legal theory and practice, and to empower them with the skills they need to be successful lawyers—and leaders—in the 21st century.
While the JD and MBA degrees typically require five years of study when pursued independently, the dual degree program takes only four years to complete. The first two years are spent at the School of Law, the third year is spent at NYU Stern, and the fourth year is divided between the two schools.
