The Ohio Theatre is a performing arts center and former movie palace on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. Known as the "Official Theatre of the State of Ohio", the 1928 building was saved from demolition in 1969 and was later completely restored. The theater was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1977.
As one of Ohio’s busiest venues, the theatre presents over 100 performing arts shows a year, as well as world-famous tours, and regular performances from BalletMet, Broadway Across America and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra.
The National Theatre Conservatory was a three-year graduate acting school that in its last three decades was part of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Founded in 1935 in New York as the only congressionally chartered MFA program in U.S. history.
The conservatory is set within the Franklin Park neighborhood, and surrounded by Franklin Park, the 88-acre city park of the same name. The conservatory was built in 1895 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It was added to the new Columbus Near East Side District in 1978.

The Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens exist on 13 acres within Franklin Park and feature the Palm House, the original conservatory structure dating back to 1895 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
