May 13, 2024 · SINGAPORE – From July 8, the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCI) will be known as the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI).
Mrs Josephine Teo was appointed Minister for Communications and Information and Minister-in-charge of Smart Nation and Cybersecurity on 15 May 2021. She is also a member of the National Jobs Council and the Future Economy Council and has been concurrently the Second Minister of Home Affairs since May 2018.

May 13, 2024 · The Ministry of Communications and Information will be renamed as the Ministry of Digital Development and Information. The name change will take effect from 8 July 2024. The new name reflects the Ministry’s role in driving our national digital agenda.
