    • Mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are estimated to kill about 725,000 people every year. According to the World Health Organization, about 725,000 people are killed every year by mosquito-borne diseases.
    • Snakes. Image source, Hunter Reptile Rescue. The Inland Taipan snake is the world's most venomous, but not deadliest. An estimated 50,000 people are killed every year by snakes.
    • Dogs. In countries where they commonly carry the disease, dogs are involved in up to 99% of rabies infections. Man's best friend?
