Esprit d'amour is a 1983 Hong Kong supernatural romance film directed by Ringo Lam and starring Alan Tam, Shu-Chun Ni and Cecilia Yip. Shot in modern-day Hong Kong, the film centres on protagonist Koo Chi-Ming, a hapless insurance investigator who while investigating the death of a young women begins being haunted by her spirit.

Review. by Kozo: More Ringo Lam before he was Ringo Lam. Jean-Claude Van Damme's best friend directed this early-eighties ghost-romantic-comedy-drama from the Cinema City fun factory. Alan Tam is Ming, a mousy insurance salesman who's whipped by ferocious fiancee Ivy (Cecilia Yip).
Stately horror/drama from director Billy Chung and prolific screenwriter/actor Simon Lui Yu-Yeung. Basically, three short horror stories illustrate the consequences of love and death - and not necessarily in that order.
