Journeyman is very much a drama, not a sports film, as you follow the journey of a professional boxer recovering from a brain injury. It is difficult to watch at times and can get emotional, and this is driven by brilliant performances from the two leads.
Journeyman is about a boxer, played by actor-writer-director Considine, and whilst it doesn't match the greatest ever boxing films (Raging Bull, Creed, Rocky) it's in the classification just below. Like plenty of the best boxing movies though, Journeyman isn't really about boxing.
