Aug 4, 2007 · Answer. Praise be to Allah. It is not permissible for a woman to go out of her husband’s house without his permission, even if that is to visit her parents, but he should give her permission, so that she will be able to uphold her ties of kinship.
Here, in the above verse ‘a righteous wife’ is described as one who is not only obedient to Allah, but she is also obedient to her husband. It must be further understood that ‘Obedience is not permissible in sinful, haram and wrong actions’.

Nov 11, 2007 · If the husband prevents his wife from visiting her parents, does she have to obey him? There is a difference of opinion among the fuqaha’ concerning that. The Hanafis and Maalikis are of the view that he does not have the right to prevent her from visiting her parents.
