Living as the bell ringer atop the cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, young Quasimodo dreams of living a life among the people on the outside. But he is under the close watch of his master, the evil Judge Claude Frollo and is forbidden to ever leave the bell tower.
At the urging of his gargoyle pals, Quasimodo leaves the solitary safety of his Notre Dame tower and ventures out to find his first true friend, the gypsy beauty Esmeralda, who entrusts him with a secret. When the secret is discovered, Quasi fights to save the people and the city he loves.
