The Former City Hall building in Singapore is a national monument gazetted on 14 February 1992. It can be found in front of the historical Padang and adjacent to the Former Supreme Court of Singapore, it was designed and built by the architects of the Singapore Municipal Commission, A. The City Hall is located opposite the Padang field or former cricket ground and adjacent to the Singapore Supreme Court. It was designed by F.D. Meadows and A. Gordans and completed in 1929, it was originally called simply Municipal Building.
