The disappearance of the plane causes a national sensation, and the next morning, while listening to the radio, the gang learns that an insurance company detective was on the missing plane, and they assume that the detective must be terrified salesman Homer Pringle.
When gang leader Joe Colson (Noel Madison) is released from prison, the Consolidated Life Insurance Company fears that he will be murdered before his policy expires in ninety days, and assigns private detective Mike Henderson (Jack Holt) to protect him.
