A series of vignette flashbacks to Margie at sixteen in 1928, Margie is fundamentally a conservative film that I found wholesome enough. Jeanne Crain is endearingly awkward as the teenage smart girl, but perhaps that is attributable to her being a teenager when this was filmed.
