Review by PUNQ ★★½. Heart wrenching! A salvation army lass and her devoted love for a hardened man who don't want to be saved. Terrific Helen Chandler and her frail melodramatics is perfect for this.

Nell Sanders, a girl of the lower East Side slums, is compelled to work in the saloon of Sid McGovern as scrubbing woman. Her sweetheart Jim, in rescuing her from the attentions of Al McGovern, kills Al and is sent to prison for 7 years.
Young Nell loses her job and home and her father is sent to prison. She joins the Salvation Army and tries to redeem him when he comes out bent on continuing his life of crime.
