The Acadians ( French: Acadiens [akadjɛ̃], Acadian French: [akad͡zjɛ̃]) are an ethnic group descended from the French who settled in the New France colony of Acadia during the 17th and 18th centuries.
Synopsis. The show concerns a Brit, James Smith, who crash lands his airplane in the magical land of Arcadia. In Arcadia, no-one tells lies, money is unheard of, and everyone is beautiful. The Arcadians even turn Jack into a strikingly handsome young man with curly blonde hair.
The Arcadians were an ancient Greek tribe which was situated in the mountainous Peloponnese. It is considered one of the oldest Greek tribes in Greece and it was probably part of, or a relative tribe of, the aboriginal inhabitants of Greece, who are mentioned by the ancient authors as Pelasgians.
