Haunted by the constant pressure to outdo himself with each new composition, Strauss meets Nicholas, a humble stable boy who fears his brutal stepfather.
Renowned composer Johann Strauss and a lonely stable boy inspire each other to overcome obstacles. When Strauss befriends a stable boy who has taught himself to play the horn, he encourages the boy to confront his abusive father who doesn't approve of his son's musical pursuits, much like Strauss' own father.
