Poor, hungry peasant Macario longs for just one good meal on the Day of the Dead. After his wife cooks a turkey for him, he meets three apparitions, the Devil, God, and Death. Each asks him to share his turkey, but he refuses all except Death.
Macario revolves around a man who, on his daily toil to provide for his impoverished family encounters Satan, God and Death. One of them offers a supernatural ability in exchange for a seemingly little price. Macario and his family experience the journey and consequences this new gift has brought to their lives.
