Jocelyn is a 1952 French historical drama film directed by Jacques de Casembroot and starring Jean Desailly, Simone Valère and Jean Vilar. It is set during the French Revolution. It is based on the 1836 novel of the same title by Alphonse de Lamartine, which had previously been made into a 1933 film.
The proceedings are observed by Jocelyn, a noblewoman with whom William has become infatuated, and Count Adhemar of Anjou, a rival both in the joust and for Jocelyn's heart. In the final joust, Adhemar defeats William.

Originally a ballerina, she trained and performed at the National Ballet School of Canada since the age of eleven. After completing a degree in communications and a post graduate degree in PR, she began her acting career.

Overview. In 1786, Jocelyn entered the Seminary. He leaves his share of the inheritance to his younger sister Julie. In 1793, on the point of being ordained a priest, the Revolution forced him to take refuge in the Alps. There he meets Laurence, first disguised as a young boy.
