Sargam, a popular singer, approaches Raj, a criminal lawyer, to defend her childhood friend Tarang who is accused of murder. Just when Raj gets Tarang acquitted in court upon siting split personality disorder, he learns the hard truth about Tarang.
At a musical party he is introduced to Sargam (Urmila Matondkar) by Ashwin Mehta (Vijayendra Ghatge). The next day Ashwin is murdered. Sargam approached Raj to defend the accused, Tarang Bhardwaj (Ajay Devgan). Raj reluctantly accepts, and with the help of a psyciatricist is able to prove that Tarang is innocent.
A singer (Urmila Matondkar) asks a lawyer (Akshaye Khanna) to defend her childhood friend (Ajay Devgan) who is accused of murdering her manager.
