A fine balance of small, tender moments and unexpected heroism, Zelary presents its story with surprisingly little sentimentality or unnecessary melodrama. In 1943, Eliska (Anna Geislerova) works as a nurse in a Prague hospital while studying to be a physician.
Joza (György Cserhalmi), one of Eliska's patients, agrees to take her to an isolated cabin in the small mountain village of Zelary until she can reunite with Richard.
