  1. Carnivore is an American crossover thrash band from Brooklyn, New York City. It was founded by singer and bassist Peter Steele out of the breakup of the Brooklyn metal group Fallout in 1982. [1]

  2. The band was formed in 1983 under the name Disciple by bassist Petrus (Peter) Ratajczyk, drummer Louie Beateaux, guitarist Larry, and vocalist Enrico. Larry was soon replaced by Stan Pillis. In January '84 they changed their name to Carnivore, and replaced Pillis with Keith Alexander.
