Final is a project of English musician Justin Broadrick, creator of the band Godflesh, which he started when he was 13 years old. Unlike Godflesh, Final is primarily electronic in nature, taking on a space-like, dark ambient sound.
The band split in 1986. Following a hiatus, Final was resuscitated in 1993 as Broadrick's solo project, releasing experimental sounds loosely categorized as ambient (with occasional help from Ben Green and Diarmuid Dalton).

" The Final Countdown " is a song by Swedish rock band Europe, released in 1986. Written by lead singer Joey Tempest, it was based on a keyboard riff he made in the early 1980s, with lyrics inspired by David Bowie 's " Space Oddity ".

FINAL has existed sporadically since late 1983, when Justin k Broadrick was 13, initially as an industrial / power electronics exploration, FINAL was shelved in 1986 whilst Justin pursued his activities with Napalm Death, Head Of David and, of course, GODFLESH, and then revitalised in 1992, to traverse sombre, ambient themes and beatless spaces
