Archer Prewitt (born 1963 in Frankfort, Kentucky) is an American musician and cartoonist associated with the independent music scene in Chicago, Illinois.
Archer Prewitt, guitarist for the Sea and Cake and formerly of the Coctails, has released three albums and an EP under his own name. Recorded in Chicago by Jeremy Lemos and Mark Greenberg at Semaphore Recordings and Mayfair, respectively, Wilderness is Prewitt's fourth full-length release.
Archer Prewitt leads a double life, working both as a cartoonist and as a musician. Prewitt was raised in Frankfort, Kentucky in 1963. He studied at the Kansas City Art Institute in Missouri where he graduated with a printmaking degree in 1985.
