East 17 are an English pop boy band started by Tony Mortimer, Brian Harvey, John Hendy, and Terry Coldwell in 1991. As of 2020, the group consists of Coldwell, Robbie Craig and Joe Livermore. East 17 have undergone multiple lineup changes, with Coldwell remaining the only constant member.

John exclusively stressed to us on why he left the band. 'I’ve left the group over personal problems between me, Robbie and Terry, not because I’ve had a baby or anything else or my fiancé.

Dec 21, 2019 · Music impresario Tom Watkins, who was responsible for the Pet Shop Boys and Bros, put together Tony Mortimer (b.1970), John Hendy (b.1970), Terry Coldwell (b.1971) and Brian Harvey (b.1974) in late 1991 and, as they call came from Walthamstow in London, he called them East 17 after the E17 postcode.
In June 2018, John Hendy departed the group, citing personal reasons. Since then, Terry John joined the band as Hendy’s replacement,performed with them at numerous shows, but eventually also left and was replaced by Joe Livermore. On 27 August 2021, East 17 released 24/7 internationally.
