Jul 1, 2020 · On the last day of June 2020, we lost a great Louisville musician to cancer, Matthew "Wink" O'Bannon. Wink was a member of many bands including Blinders, Bodeco, and Eleventh Dream Day, and also worked as a solo artist. He was also known as a punk rock legend in this town.

Sep 16, 2021 · Matthew "Wink" O'Bannon was a guitarist with some well known Louisville bands including Bodeco and Eleventh Dream Day. He passed away last year leaving many friends and former bandmates bereft.
Follow-ups Beet (1989) and Lived to Tell (1991) won more strong reviews but did not sell many copies; Figi left during the Lived to Tell tour and was replaced by Matthew "Wink" O'Bannon. The band made a stab for commercial success with 1993's El Moodio, but the effort was unsuccessful and EDD was dropped from Atlantic's roster.
Nov 21, 2006 · She and ex-Blinder Michael O'Bannon put together a studio-only project (The Trouser Snakes), then attempted to form a working band with Catherine Irwin and Michael's brother Wink (operating simultaneously with Wink's Skull of Glee group).
In the middle of a tour to promote the album, Figi abruptly quit, and was replaced by Bodeco's Matthew "Wink" O'Bannon prior to 1993's superb 'El Moodio'. After three commercial strikes, Atlantic unceremoniously dropped the group.
