The band was founded by singer Piero Ornelas (stage name "Piero El Malo", and now performing under the name Piero Amadeo Infante) and Michael Maung. Their music was a mix of ska, Latin, funk, and hard rock.
Hammett was replaced short term by Mike Maung, followed by Evan McCaskey, before the band finally found a permanent replacement in guitarist Rick Hunolt. Jeff Andrews also left to start an early incarnation of pioneering death metal band Possessed, and was replaced by bass guitarist Rob McKillop.
Painted by Joshua Winer, Robert Moody, Patty Prior, Jill Higgins, Maija Jossi (2000), Jay LaLiberte, Mike Maung (1990) and Jeff Oberdorfer (1977). Designed to beautify the street and commemorate the history of the neighbourhood.
