Félix Leclerc, OC GOQ (August 2, 1914 – August 8, 1988) was a French-Canadian singer-songwriter, poet, writer, actor and Québécois political activist. He was made an Officer of the Order of Canada on December 20, 1968. [2]

Félix Leclerc, Québec’s pioneering singer-songwriter. par Gaulin, André. Félix Leclerc, already a highly-acclaimed author in the early 1940s, and well-known in particular for his trilogy, Adagio, Allegro and Andante, did not initially see himself as a singer-songwriter or chansonnier.
Félix Leclerc quitte définitivement Vaudreuil pour séjourner en France. 1967 – Tournée en France et en Europe grâce à son ami et impresario Jean Dufour. Un livre à son effigie, L’Univers poétique de Félix Leclerc, sera écrit par Jean-Claude Le Pennec. 1968 – Divorce de sa première femme Andrée Vien.
Considéré comme le père de la chanson québécoise, Félix Leclerc a publié environ une vingtaine d'albums 33 tours ainsi que plusieurs 45 tours lors des années 50. Décédé le 8 août 1988 à l'âge de 74 ans, il est devenu personnage historique en 2014.
