  5. Feb 21, 2021 · Amin Al-Hafiz was the former Prime Minister of Syria who was ousted by a Ba’athist faction led by Salah Jadid in 1966. He was accused of being involved in a fake mutiny and was imprisoned by Jadid, who later appointed Hafez Al-Assad as defence minister.
