In 1990, Regina Peruggi became the first lay president of Marymount Manhattan College. She helped strengthen the financial position of the College during her term, which ended in 2001. During her eleven year presidency, Peruggi doubled enrollment to the College.
Dr. Peruggi is Board Chairperson of the Havens Relief Society, a board member of the Silver Shield Foundation, Silvercrest Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation and the Jamaica Bay- Rockaway Parklands Conservancy.
