Teraura, also Susan or Susannah Young (c. 1775 – July 1850), was a Tahitian woman who settled on Pitcairn Island with the Bounty Mutineers. She took part in Ned Young 's plot to murder male Polynesians who had travelled on HMS Bounty and killed Tetahiti.
Teraura died in 1850, only six years before the entire population of Pitcairn was moved to Norfolk Island. For the daughters of the original Bounty women, now the elders, the most important occupation was the packing up of their households, and making tapa.
