Richard Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury KG PC (1400 – 31 December 1460) was an English nobleman and magnate based in northern England who became a key supporter of the House of York during the early years of the Wars of the Roses.

Richard Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury (1400 – 31 December 1460) was a fifteenth-century English northern magnate. He was the eldest son by the second wife of Ralph Neville, 1st Earl of Westmorland, from whom he inherited vast estates in Yorkshire and the North West of England.

Salisbury, Richard Neville, 5th earl of (1400–60). Neville was the first son of the (second) marriage of Ralph, 1st earl of Westmorland, and John of Gaunt 's daughter Anne Beaufort. From 1420 to 1436 he was warden of the west march.
