Austin Churton Fairman (15 November 1924 – 4 April 1997), who used the name Churton Fairman but was more widely known under the pseudonym Mike Raven in the 1960s and early 1970s, was a British radio disc jockey, actor, sculptor, sheep farmer, writer, TV presenter and producer, ballet dancer, flamenco guitarist and photographer.
Mike Raven (1924-1997) was a British actor who appeared in several horror films, such as I Monster and Lust for a Vampire. He also had a career in radio, pirate radio, and occultism.

Mike Raven's R & B show ran for 4 years on Radio One, from 1967 onwards. For most, this was the only way to hear new soul releases at the time. His style sounds somewhat laidback nowadays, but the music is great.
One face which stood out from the crowd of nondescript players who appeared increasingly to feature in Hammer’s latter-day Gothic horror films was that of Mike Raven. Raven was a late-night BBC Radio 1 disc jockey whose specialty was blues music.
