Padarn (Latin: Paternus, Padarnus; Welsh: Padarn; Breton: Padern; ? – c. 550 AD) was an early 6th century British Christian abbot-bishop who founded Saint Padarn's Church in Ceredigion, Wales. He appears to be the same individual as the first bishop of Braga and Saint Paternus of Avranches in Normandy.

Padran Country Park - Signposted and situated alongside National Slate Museum. The country park sits on one side of the lake with access via many paths and trails to the waters edge. Some areas great for standing in the water up to your waist. Lake has magical views and reflections of the Snowdon Mountain range.
