Yuri Nikolaevich Arabov (Russian: Юрий Николаевич Арабов; 25 October 1954 – 27 December 2023) was a Russian screenwriter, writer, poet and educator. He was known for his long-lasting collaboration with Alexander Sokurov.
Yuriy Arabov was born on 25 October 1954 in Moscow, RSFSR, USSR [now Russia]. He was a writer and director, known for The Monk and the Demon (2016), Moloch (1999) and The Horde (2012). He died on 27 December 2023 in Russia.

Yuri Arabov is a filmmaker and member of the Moscow Poetry Club. Published extensively by the underground Samizdat Publications, his poetry began to appear in official journals in 1987.
