Generator Rex. Generator Rex is an American animated science fiction television series created by Man of Action for Cartoon Network, [1] with John Fang of Cartoon Network Studios as supervising producer. It was inspired by the comic M. Rex, created by Aaron Sowd, Joe Kelly and Duncan Rouleau, and published by Image Comics in 1999.
Who is Generator Rex? Just your average teenager with the ability to turn his body into machines like the Slam Cannon, Smackhands and Punk Busters! Can Rex help the secret organization Providence save the world from the nanite threat and protect it from dangerous EVO monsters?
Rex Salazar is a teenage (16 in Season 1) [2] amnesiac EVO with the ability to grow weapons and machines out of his body at will. Prior to the Nanite Event, he was one of the initial recipients of a controlled batch of nanites. Unlike a majority of EVOs, Rex has control over his nanites and is the only known being capable of curing other EVOs.
